BAFTA Nomination

21 October 2014

Bing was nominated for a BAFTA Children’s Awards in 2014. This fantastic news was all the more remarkable as Acamar Films was still delivering Series 1 to the BBC, and only 40 episodes were being broadcast.

This nomination was a true testament to the skills of Acamar Films and co-producers Brown Bag Films and Tandem Films that Bing reached such stellar heights so early in its gestation and a clear demonstration of the impact that this beautifully animated series continues to have with the viewers.

Bing was nominated for Best Preschool Animation, sharing the category with Dinopaws, Postman Pat and the Rubber Duck Race, and Sarah & Duck. The winner was announced at the awards ceremony in November 2014.
