Acamar Films Appoints Tim Ricketts as Chief Operating and Financial Officer

Tim Ricketts joins Acamar Films as COO & CFO to lead financial and operational strategy as Bing expands worldwide

London, 28 August 2025 – Acamar Films, the award-winning independent producer and distributor of the global hit animated series Bing, today announced the appointment of Tim Ricketts as Chief Operating and Financial Officer (COO & CFO). Tim will be responsible for leading Acamar’s financial and operational strategy, ensuring the business is well-positioned for sustainable growth and global expansion. He will report directly to Acamar Films’ CEO Mikael Shields.

As COO & CFO, Tim will oversee Acamar’s financial strategy and operations across all areas of the organisation. His role will be central to accelerating Acamar’s international growth as well as to supporting the company’s creative ambitions.

Prior to joining Acamar Films, Tim was the Chief Operating and Financial Officer at Coolabi Group, where he played a pivotal role in driving strategy, growth and international expansion. He has previously held senior finance and operational roles across the media and entertainment sector, including Gullane Entertainment, United News & Media and TVS Entertainment.

Tim’s appointment further strengthens Acamar’s senior leadership team as the company accelerates its global expansion.
