Acamar Films’ very first app, Bing Baking, has won a bronze award for Best Children’s App at the MadeForMums Toy Awards. The app, co-developed with the digital team at Aardman, allows youngsters to bake yummy-delicious biscuits with Bing and Flop and is available to buy on all mobile platforms including the AppStore, Google Play and Amazon.

The judges praised the app for being “sweet, simple and slow-paced: ideal for toddlers and preschoolers,” as well as noting that “Bing fans will adore the high-quality animation and letting their creative side run riot with the different icings, sprinkles and toppings (bonus points for healthy fruit options!).”

Produced by independent studio Acamar Films and Dublin-based partners Brown Bag Films, Bing continues to experience extraordinary success. The series has won a Writer’s Guild Award, a BAFTA nomination for best Pre-School Series, and has been a ratings hit on CBeebies in the UK. Bing also won the International Emmy Award in the Kids Pre-school category in 2016.
